Style & Comfort Shoes FTW

Becoming a mom has made me think of the evolution of my personal style in terms of before v. after baby. Then I subcategorize into pants, tops, bras, etc. Becoming a mother has changed me in many ways, and honestly, I can’t complain about a single one of them because they are all positive. Right down to my larger hips. It suits me, what can I say? #Loveyoself, ladies! Today, though, we are talking shoes.

Before baby, I was all for the extra high heels, the pointy, the arch-less, the support-less. It was style before comfort 100%. It just didn’t seem possible to have it all, at least not without a lot of effort. Though here I am, after baby, to tell you my friends that you can have it all!

Born. Yes, I know these babies are crazy expensive. Friends! I have a work-around! Ever heard of 6pm.com? This is the most bad-ass place to get all your favorite stuff for less. I get my born shoes here all the time. Born shoes have great heel and arch support and provide both the everyday comfort and style you need to rock through your day. My latest purchase are these Born Reid>> booties, retail price $150, but I purchased for $68. One important fact about 6pm is that sale prices fluctuate all the time on each item. You need to strike while the iron is hot!

Naturalizer. Yes, another expensive shoe brand. We are talking quality people! You shouldn’t skimp on your footwear. Trust me. These are another 6pm.com WIN! My last purchase of Naturalizers were the Naturalizer Eden 3>>, retail price $89 but I purchased for $31. Again, these super cute shoes have extra special cushioning in the footbed as well as arch support.

Sofft. Now, I have to be honest. I do not yet own a pair of Sofft shoes but I do have my eye set on several pairs. I came across this brand when I was searching for wedges to wear to my sister’s engagement party last summer. A nice man at Nordstrom brought a pair of Sofft wedge sandals out for me to try on and my life hasn’t been the same since. This was in June last year and I am still thinking about the soft footbed that felt like walking on a pillow and the soft leather straps of the sandal that I knew would never betray me by digging into my foot. I didn’t buy them at the time because they didn’t match my dress, but I found them on (you guessed it) 6pm.com and I plan to purchase!

Check out these brands if you are looking to achieve style, comfort and support in your footwear. It can be done! Some other brands I’d like to also recommend are Ugg Australia, Roxy and Clarks. Check out 6pm.com for deals and steals!
